Chris started his career at BT and gained extensive experience in a range of different roles in the UK and Europe including sales management, business development and global service delivery.  He was Managing Director at Manx Telecom from 1999 - 2011 and under his leadership MT successfully pioneered and brought to market innovative new communications technology, including Europe's first commercial 3G mobile data service in 2000, the world’s first commercial 3.5G mobile data service in 2005, and a fully converged NGN network in 2011.

Today Chris has a portfolio of Non Executive Directorships in various verticals including telecoms, financial services, software and medtech and he is an active angel investor in pre-revenue technology start-ups.

He is also actively involved in the local community and  has been a proactive supporter of the IOM Government’s vision to make the Island a leading offshore centre for e-business. He was a member of the Government’s Can Do Economic Strategy Task Force, led the 2013 project to develop an ICT Strategy for the Island and is currently Chairman of the eGaming Strategic Advisory Board.
